Is IE8 making my computer freeze up all of the time?

What browser do you use?

Does IE8 have something running on it all of the time to make my computer run slow?

For some reason I had to switch from IE7 to 8. It keeps on being very sporadic. Is this an issue with IE8 for everyone else?|||NO, you do not have to switch to IE8. For many WinXP users it is full of problems. If you're using WinXP or earlier version, you may wish to uninstall.. which is sometimes very complex. Microsoft puts it on the list of urgent upgrades, but you can "say no" to it. My suggestion is that you uninstall it. Won't necessarily be easy... depends somewhat on whether you ever installed SP3.. On your question, YES, IE8 can make your computer stumble. It probably works fine in Windows 7, the OS for which it was intended, but not for many people. A successful uninstall will cause IE7 to reappear.. :)|||In most cases, if your PC is freezing up, or running slow, it's due to errors in your registry. Your PC's system registry holds all kinds of info about your computer. Over time the invalid entries in your registry begin to affect your PC's performance, causing it to freeze up or run much slower. PC owners should have there registry scanned every few months for maximum performance. You can download the "CCleaner" and it is free to use !
