Why do I get a message saying IE8 has prevented cross site scripting?

I have windows 7 64 bit and IE8 64bit

I have only had this message when on the Yahoo Answers website.

It first happened yesterday and its happened 3 times today.|||Cross site scripting is just another type of computer security exploit.

One way it can be used is for a malicious website to run javascript in another open tab in which you are viewing a trusted website. From here an attack can be launched.

The good news is that your browser has detected the cross site scripting and stopped it therefore protecting your computer so you are ok. This means you don鈥檛 need to run a spyware check just because of the cross site scripting message.

Don鈥檛 take any notice of Sean telling you to enable the scripting. This is absolutely the last thing you should do as you would be allowing the malicious website to run its code on your computer.

Following Seans advice would be like turning off your virus checker each time it detects a virus, now how stupid would that be?|||Something is trying to run a script fom another site onto your site you are viewing. Can indocate an attack of some kind. do a full spyware scan, and check the settngs of you Internet security.|||Internet Explorer 8 is obviously not letting something such as a scripted page to popped up on your computer try right clicking on the bar and tell it to be enabled or something to that effect
