How do i get works 7 to install with ie8?

I have recently had to restore XP SP2 and now cannot install works 7 (i have the CD) as it says i need ie6. I cannot uninstall ie8 in order to install ie6. Is there a way to update the files in the works CD to get it to run/install with ie8?|||I should imagine the reason it says IE6 is that your CD is old and that was the latest version of Internet Explorer at the time. Try to do a custom install instead of automatic or express. I am sure the version of browser you have shouldn't have an effect on application software.|||http://blogs.computerworld.com/why_you_s鈥?/a>
