How can I make Yahoo Mail my default email program in IE8 and Windows 7?

I would rather not use MS Outlook for my email program. Is there a work around? I can set Yahoo Email as my default in Firefox so does that mean I just leave MS IE8 out in the cold?

Thanks in advance for any help.|||I recommend using the following Microsoft Support webpage which has step-by-step instructions on how you can change your default email program:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windo…

If this doesn't work then here is another website that may be of some help:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/interne…

Good luck!

IE8 Outreach Team|||Neither of these links had anything to do with the question. The first talked about setting default “programs” not web sites. The second was just a link to help in Explorer and after “clicking” I found how to add Windows Live as my default but nowhere did I see the Yahoo on this page.

|||I had the same problem and had to uninstall the Yahoo Toolbar. When I reinstalled it there is an option to set Yahoo as your default email program. Everything works fine now. THis solved the problem on both my Windwos 7 and Windows Vista laptops.
