Can I go straight from IE6 to IE8? Has anyone had problems with Google Toolbar and IE8?

I have read that there is a compatibility issue with using Google Toolbar with IE8, and I use Google Toolbar. Am I better off going to IE7? The last time I tried to use IE7 several years ago, it locked up my computer. But I am getting notices from some sites that they aren't going to support using IE6 anymore.|||I suggest you upgrade to IE8. IE8 is faster and safer than IE 7. It is also compatible with more sites than any other browser. If you are concerned with the way IE 8 will interact with sites you are visiting, you should check out Compatibility Mode which allows you to view sites as they would appear in IE 6 or IE 7, with the added security and speed of IE 8. You shouldn't have any issues with the Google Toolbar either.
